Sarah walked carefully around the forest... hoping not to run into the Fiery Gang...
She looked around and stepped as quietly as she could... When suddenly she heard a noise...

Quite the opposite, Lillith was currently stalking the forest hoping to find the Fiery Gang. She loved those guys and had quite fun with them. Of course, she couldn't take off her body parts, but the Fierys seemed to understand that and merely played around with their own. Maybe it was the animal facade she wore that deterred them from trying to remove her head.
Slender paws softly stepped against the ground, avoiding twigs and other things that could make noise. Lillith was hoping to also find some food along the way. Birds were good, though they often put up a fight.
The fox paused in her wandering when she spotted a figure that looked slightly familiar. Bright blue eyes blinked a moment before the fox made a noise. She knew that person, it was the woman who had been here before, the one that the Fierys had complained about for weeks afterwards. 'We couldn't get her to take off her head!' they exclaimed. Of course not, she was human. Silly little creatures.
Being lost in thought she had started walking again, perhaps eager to cause the woman mischief. Maybe even alert the Fireys as to her presence. But, in her state of concentration on the havoc she could wreak, Lillith failed to notice how close she was to a flock of birds. Once they saw her, each one took off, one schreeching all the way.
And no where for me to hide...how convenient...

She looked turned towards the noise... It was a flock of birds...she ducked at there sudden presence and looked back... There she noticed they had been disturbed by a furry red Fox..... "Probably trying to make one of them lunch" she thought....
She looked at the fox and tilted her head slightly... "I don't remember seeing you before..." she said softly and began walking cautiously towards the creature...

Large eyes looked from her lunch, that was currently flying away, to the woman. She ducked as the birds flew by her then peered directly at Lillith. The fox barely moved, only slightly readying herself to run if need be. However, this woman didn't look threatening before...and still didn't look threatening.
Why not play with her a bit, who knows, she could be a good ally. And of course Sarah had never SEEN her before; Lillith chose to stay hidden the last time the girl was here.
So, the red fox sat back on her haunches, merely staring at Sarah as she spoke. Her ears twitched as different sounds presented themselves but, for the most part, she remained eerily still. Quite curious to know what the woman would do next.

She walked a bit closer to the creature... looking at it curiously...
It barely moved... which unnerved Sarah a bit... "That's not common animal behavior... but this is not a common place to come by... she thought...
"Can you understand me?" she asked the fox... not awaiting a reply

Bringing up one paw, Lillith proceeded to groom the fur there, not looking at Sarah anymore. When that was finished she wrapped her tail around her body and went on to smoothing the fur there. She bypassed the flowers and two feathers in her tail, picking out a stray twig and tossing it. The collar of flowers around her neck shifted as she did.
Contemplating what to do next, Lillith stood back up as Sarah stepped closer. She wasn't going anywhere and, in fact, the fox took a few steps forward as well and sat back down. Lillith gazed at the woman almost expectantly. Then she was asked a question and the fox opened her maw to answer but shut it quickly.
Animals don't talk Lilllith... she reminded herself

She noticed it try to answer her inquiry... "you do understand me... don't you..." she said eying the animal ...
Sarah continued to watched the red animal as it groomed itself... it stepped closer and sat again...
That's odd I thought animal tended to shy away from humans... but this isn't a normal place now is it... she thought...still looking at the fox...

Lillith gave Sarah an almost haughty look as she used her front legs to puff up the fur on her chest. Standing once more, the fox started a slow saunterd to the female. Bright eyes looked her up and down carefully as the animal made a wide circle around Sarah's legs.
So...this was the human the Goblin King found himself infatuated with. Quite curious. She was lanky, a bit homely...but had a good fashion sense. Then again, Lillith never thought anyone was as pretty as she, so everyone besides her was homely.
And now what was she doing out in this forest? The Fierys gathered here and they were an odd group. She could not just be passing through...only the locals knew the way out.
"Curious..." she muttered idly.
As quickly as it was said, Lillith snapped her mouth closed, almost biting her tongue in the process.

Sarah watched the animal walk around her in awe... "It is a quite beautiful creature... she thought mesmerized by it...
In her awe she could have sworn she heard the red fox speak... "Curious..."...
"Oh... so you can talk... you just don't want to..." she said kneeling down towards the floor... coming face to face with the animal...

Lillith cursed herself. Normally, she didn't want anyone knowing she could speak in this form, it just added to the disguise. Every other creature here merely saw her as a red fox, not the fairy witch that she was. The only time she was ever in human form was when she got tired of acting like an animal. Only a few had seen her human appearance.
She stopped circling and sat once more. Sarah was kneeling, now eye-level with Lillith, and posing what sounded like a rhetorical question. Of course Lillith didn't want to talk in this form...it would give her away. Well...perhaps not to this one, she didn't know that animals around here were, most of the time, just that...animals. Staring at her for a moment Lillith huffed and and turned her face away, haughtilly.
"Why would one want to talk, it merely gets people in trouble," she replied, voice smooth and soft.

She watched the fox turn away from her...and speak in a lovely voice..."Well in depends on who does the talking now... doesn't it..." replied Sarah....
"I'm Sarah... by the way..." she said softly hoping to be able to maintain a conversation with the lovely creature...

"I hardly think it matters whom you converse with, it will still get you in trouble," she stated.
Lillith stared out over the forest, seeing the sunshine creeping through the trees. Well, even if she hadn't wanted to be discovered...she was now. No harm in, possibly, making a new acquaintence. She was amused that this girl thought she really was just a talking fox. What Sarah didn't know wouldn't hurt her. Turning her eyes back to the woman her ears twitched at the chirping of a bird.
"Lillith," was her simple reply.

"Lillith.. like the goddess?" she asked looking at the fox...
She shifted out of her kneeling position and sat comfortably on the grass... She looked around and noticed not a sound besides the chirping of birds... "Good the Firey's aren't close by then.." she thought.
She put her hand in her pocket pulling our a small bag of peanuts... she opened and looked at the fox... "You don't by any chance like peanuts...do you?"

The fox peered at her curiously, "Goddess? I know not of any such being."
Lillith remained seated, watching as Sarah looked around. Probably waiting for the Fiery's to assault her, like the last time she was here. Too bad, the fox knew where they all were today and the two of them weren't anywhere near them. Bright eyes looked around as well then shot back to Sarah upon hearing the rustling. The woman was procuring a bag from her pocket.
Against her better judgement, Lillith leaned in, small nose crinkling as she sniffed, "What on earth is a peanut?"

"This is a peanut..." she said holding some in the palm of the hand... "I don't mean any disrespect i just don't know how else to give you one..." she said holding out her hand towards the creature...
"And Lillith is the name of a Hebrew goddess in my world... she was supposed to be the first wife of Adam the first man made... Some legends say she is the mother of all demons other say she just would no submit to a man but wanted to be equal..."
